No analytics. Few hosts, all named.

Wipe and this site collect no analytics, no tracking and no account. Nothing about your files leaves your Mac unless you click Ask AI. Below is every host the app and this site contact, and what each one receives.

Hosts the app contacts

HostWhy Wipe contacts itWhat it receives
wipemac.app The update feed (appcast.xml and /updates/), once a day. Ask AI answers (/api/jev), only when you click it. License key delivery after a purchase (/api/license). The update check sends nothing. Ask AI sends one folder's metadata: the path with your home shortened to ~, its size, file and folder counts, file-type shares and up to 8 child folder names. Never file contents. The license endpoint carries your Polar checkout id.
api.polar.sh License activation, then a check once a week. Your license key, an activation id and a hashed machine id.
openrouter.ai Only when a developer sets their own OpenRouter key through the Keychain item wipe-jev. Then the Mac calls OpenRouter directly for Ask AI instead of using /api/jev. The same folder metadata as Ask AI, plus the developer's own key.
buy.polar.sh The checkout page. Wipe opens it in your browser when you click Buy; the app never calls it. Whatever you enter at checkout. Polar processes the payment; Wipe never sees your card.
polar.sh The Polar customer portal, where your key and receipts live. Wipe opens it in your browser; the app never calls it. Your Polar sign-in.
