Wipe

Help

Get Wipe running.

Activation, a lost key, a new Mac, the first-launch prompt and the firewall list. Anything else: hi@sliday.com.

Activate your key

Open Wipe, then Settings, License, and paste the key. Right after a purchase, the confirmation page also shows an Activate in Wipe button that fills the key in for you.

Lost your key?

Open the Polar customer portal. Polar emailed you a link to it after checkout, and it shows every key you bought. If the email is gone, write to hi@sliday.com from the address you paid with.

Move Wipe to a new Mac

A license covers one Mac. On the old Mac, open Settings, License, and click Deactivate This Mac, or free the activation in the customer portal. Then activate the same key on the new Mac. Your monthly AI answers follow the key.

First launch: macOS asks you to confirm Wipe

Wipe is signed with its own certificate but not yet notarized by Apple, so macOS asks once. Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway. Updates install without that step.

Firewall: hosts to allow

Wipe works offline, but these features need outbound HTTPS:

HostFeature that stops without it
wipemac.appDaily update checks, Ask AI, license key delivery after a purchase.
api.polar.shLicense activation and the weekly license check. Wipe keeps working for 30 days without it.
openrouter.aiAsk AI, only when you set your own OpenRouter key.

The privacy page explains what each host receives.
